Eszter Sinkó

Dr Eszter Sinkó graduated in 1979 from University of Economics, Budapest, on theoretic economic policy faculty. Between 1980-1983 she worked as a researcher at the Institution for Postgraduate Medical Studies and was head of department of statistics at Centre of Social Institutions. Later on she was engaged in macroeconomic planning in centrally planned health management. In the first wave of health reforms (1988-1992) she worked on the change of the health system at Ministry of Welfare Reform Secretariat.

Elected member of National Health Insurance Fund during its lifetime (1993-1998). Deputy director at Hungarian representative of Sedgwick Noble Lowndes, a multinational company dealing with governmental consultancy on health and pension issues.

Currently she is deputy director at Semmelweis University Health Services Management Training Centre. In 2000 she was visiting fellow at London School of Economics and Political Science. Her main professional interest is in health political evaluation of health system functioning.
